How You are Served
Property Tax Eagle handles the entire process as your property tax
value consultant. We assure the official assessment/appraisal that
determines your tax bill is correct. You pay only the minimum
property tax required.
Preliminary Evaluation
A Preliminary Value Report (PVR) is prepared to determine if your
property is correctly valued and therefore taxed fairly. In many
cases, property is overvalued 20% to 70% more than its Fair Market
Value. We suggest the best plan in a detailed written report to you.
When No Action is Warranted
Where property does not warrant the initiation of a real property
value appeal, upon your request, we continue to monitor your
property for two additional tax years. If we have not generated a
significant savings to you, no fees are earned and you owe us
nothing.
When Your Property is Over-valued
The PVR includes a recommendation whether an appeal should be
undertaken. If accepted the agreed upon retainer fee is collected.
We may meet with the local taxing authority and use our expert
analysis to prove your property is overvalued in an administrative
setting. A technical correction can be made immediately lowering
your tax liability at that time.
When an Appeal is Warranted
Inclusive in our fee, we assist you in initiating the appropriate
real property tax appeal: We (a) generate the official evidence
necessary to support an appeal; (b) complete and file the necessary
forms; (c) where relief can only be obtained by a formal appeal, we
will represent you at the appeal hearing.
Additional Support
A report by a Licensed Property Appraiser or Broker Consultant is
sometimes needed to negotiate with representative of the taxing
jurisdictions. On occasion, an Attorney is needed to pursue the
appeal, either administratively or judicially. We may hire highly
qualified licensed appraisers and attorneys at our cost. No
additional fees are passed on to our clients. All action is taken
only with your prior approval.
Tax Agent
We will work with your tax preparer, CPA or attorney at your
direction, to aid compiling of the necessary financial information
and property data for your personal or business tax returns. Eagle
serves as consultants defined in our Letter of Authorization and
Agreement. Property Tax Eagle is not represented as licensed tax
professionals or licensed agents.
